None of our jigs are made from any machine. The art of Hand-tied is still the main focal part of our mission. Jigs are hand-tied ONE at a time, regardless of which style from our PRODUCTS page. In addition to that, these jigs are produced here in ARLINGTON, TX. and not China assembled by some sweat shops. We are proud of our MADE IN THE U.S.A. products to ensure the highest quality and workmanship...

THE PAINT:

PROTEC powder paint. At SLABmesilly.com, we don't just slap the paint on for good looks; we make sure that the paint would last by OVEN BAKED per specifications for the longevity of your jigs.

THE DIFFERENCE IN FEATHER TYPES:

SLABmesilly.com currently use three different feather types: Turkey, Marabou, & Rooster Neck Hackle. To test it yourself.... tie on each one and put in a clear glass of water. Without moving your hand, you will see the difference among them...

MARABOU: This feather gives the most action, but not as durable. Perfect for winter slow presentation.

TURKEY: This feather is stiffer; best for all application and very durable. Just not as soft and glamorous when hit the water like marabou.

ROOSTER NECK HACKLE: This feather is the best of both world; plenty of action, yet also durable. (not as much action as the MARABOU, and not as durable as the TURKEY) Note:...We only use the TIP of each feather for our PREMIERE JIGS!!!
